-Shinogi technique-
Shinogi is a technique in which the surface of the vessel is scraped with a spatula to create a ridgeline pattern.
The glaze accumulates on the carved edges, creating a variety of expressions.
Not only is it a good design, but the ridgeline makes it easy for your fingers to rest on it, making it easy to hold and non-slip.

- Shape of handle -
If the handle is too small, it will be difficult to hold, and if it is too large, the center of gravity will be unbalanced, which will greatly affect the impression and quality of the mug.
At Doso Towada Kiln, the handles of the mugs are attached by hand by craftsmen, so each handle is slightly different in shape.
Just as people's fingers are shaped differently, so too are the shapes of the handles.
Why not look for a mug as a partner to spend tea time with?
The edges that touch your mouth are rounded to give you a soft texture.
The transparent glaze on the inside allows the color of your drink to stand out.

What is Doso Towada Kiln?

About Doso Towada Kiln

Doso Towada Kiln is written as ``Sayado Wadama.''

Dosodo is a place name in Mashiko Town. This area, which has long produced clay for pottery, is the center of Mashiko ware production, as it produces clay, the raw material for Mashiko ware, and is home to many Mashiko ware kilns.

Doso Towada Kiln is a brand that aims to produce pottery, which can be said to be a product of nature, with a ``responsibility of receiving from nature'' and to deliver the charm of pottery to as many people as possible.

Through the tools of pottery, we provide true abundance and help people and the earth coexist.
Aiming for such a future, we continue to face the soil today.
