This rice bowl is based on the ``Kurawanka bowl'', which has been loved since the Edo period, and is expressed using Mashiko glaze.
The slightly elevated platform makes it highly stable, and the shape of the bowl makes it easy to use in a variety of situations, so much so that it is said to have been used not only as a rice bowl but also as a soup bowl and a sake bowl in ancient times.

― High ground with high stability ―
It has a raised platform to stably support the food. It is said that the Kurawanka bowl used in the Edo period was designed to have a low center of gravity to stabilize it so that it could be used even on a rocking ship.

Doso Towada Kiln is written as ``Sayado Wadama.''

Dosodo is a place name in Mashiko Town. This area, which has long produced clay for pottery, is the center of Mashiko ware production, as it produces clay, the raw material for Mashiko ware, and is home to many Mashiko ware kilns.
