Each ``2tone mug'' created on the potter's wheel by a craftsman has its own individuality. One of its unique features is its ``handle.'' At Doso Towada Kiln, the handles of the mugs are attached by hand by craftsmen, so each handle is slightly different in shape. Just as people's fingers have different shapes, the handles of 2tone mugs also have different shapes. Why not look for a mug as a partner to spend tea time with?

The ``2tone'' series is created by combining four traditional Mashiko glaze colors.The ``2tone mug'' in particular uses different glazes on the top and bottom, so the appearance of the mug changes greatly depending on the firing environment. Enjoy pottery made from natural materials and human hands.

道祖土和田窯について
道祖土和田窯と書いて「さやど わだがま」と読みます。
道祖土は益子町の地名です。古くから陶器の原土が産出したこの地は益子焼の原料である粘土の生産や益子焼の窯元が数多くあり、益子焼生産の中心といえる土地です。
道祖土和田窯は自然の産物といえる陶器を「自然から頂く責任」を持って製造し、陶器の魅力を多くの人々へ届けることを目的としたブランドです。
