canvas round bowl

``Canvas Marubachi'' aims to embody the concept of the canvas series, ``a vessel that allows you to enjoy the freedom of arranging food,'' in soup dishes.
The round bowl is designed with as few corners as possible, giving a sense of softness even when no food is served.
The outside of the vessel is accented with four colors of traditional Mashiko glaze.
The atmosphere of traditional glazes varies greatly depending on the shape of the vessel.

"Canvas Marubachi" has a plump and soft atmosphere typical of Mashiko ware due to its roundness.
The most distinctive feature is the rim that corresponds to the mouth of the pot. The rim, which is shaped to curl slightly inside the bowl, not only makes the bowl softer to the touch, but also makes it easier to scoop soup dishes.
The shape of the rim of this round bowl is the same shape that was made during the Goda Pottery Research Institute, the predecessor of Doso Towada Kiln. It is easy to use even in modern times when the dishes on the table change over time, and it can be said to be one of the good tools that Doso Towada Kiln is aiming for.

What is Doso Towada Kiln?

About Doso Towada Kiln

Doso Towada Kiln is written as ``Sayado Wadama.''

Dosodo is a place name in Mashiko Town. This area, which has long produced clay for pottery, is the center of Mashiko ware production, as it produces clay, the raw material for Mashiko ware, and is home to many Mashiko ware kilns.

Doso Towada Kiln is a brand that aims to produce pottery, which can be said to be a product of nature, with a ``responsibility of receiving from nature'' and to deliver the charm of pottery to as many people as possible.

Through the tools of pottery, we provide true abundance and help people and the earth coexist.
Aiming for such a future, we continue to face the soil today.
